The cat and the tree Story from biblical times.
In Palestine, there was a village that had founded a small new congregation.
Every Saturday morning, they held a service.
But after a while, a cat came running during the service.
The cat wanted attention and certainly also food.
So it stood in the middle of the room and started wailing loudly.
After that, the cat kept coming back every Saturday during the service. This wailing disturbed the whole divine action, so the old priest lovingly took the cat outside and tied it to the tree out in the middle of the square in front of the church.
This way of dealing with the problem became a habit in the future. Before the service began, he caught the cat and tied it to the tree.
After a period, it became a tradition that the cat was tied to the tree. Some years later, the old priest died, but another priest took over the responsibilities regarding the cat.
Before the service began, he caught hold of the cat and tied it to the tree.
Ten years later, the cat died, but the new priest made sure to get a new one.
Several decades and many cats later, the tree went out.
A new tree was immediately bought, so there was something to tie the cat to. 100 year later, learned men began to write textbooks about the cat and the tree.
After all, they had been an essential part of the congregation for a hundred years.
Do you also carry old things that you have inherited or taken over from others!
Or have you simply put them in your "backpack" and use these old inherited (Inherited) attitudes to react to.
Or do you always approach your reactions objectively and take a personal position based on each situation…….. Smiles
I have had to deal with a lot of the attitudes and opinions I have "adopted" since my childhood.
When I bring them to light, it was not something I could vouch for or simply something I grew out of.
Really good desire to work Many bright and loving energies to you from the universe.
